Golf Tournament Sponsors~Thanks!

On behalf of the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce, we would like to thank you for your sponsorship of the 2012 Golf Tournament.  We set a record for participants!  The change of venue and date was definitely a positive.  We enjoyed a great summer day on a beautiful venue at the base of Pikes Peak.  A good time was had by all.

For those perennial sponsors we greatly appreciate the continued support.  For our first time sponsors, we hope that you will again consider us in 2013.  We try very hard to get the names of our sponsors out there as this tournament would not succeed without you.  Thanks so much!

We have already started working with The Country Club of Colorado for the 2013 Golf Tournament.  We will have dates and such squared away soon.  Tentatively mark your calendars for Monday, June 17, 2013.  If you did not play in this year’s event we would invite you to consider making a team for next year.  We will try to build on the success of the 2012 tournament and are open to feedback from our sponsors and players on how to make this event more impactful for you and enjoyable for the participants.  If you have comments or suggestions please call the office and let us know.  The number is 719/382-3190.

This event is only successful with your generous support.  We thank you for your continued support and ask that you make the 2013 Fountain Valley Chamber Golf Tournament a budget item for 2013.  Thanks again and we wish you great success!

Kind regards,

John Parlapiano,

FVCC Board Member and Tournament Chairman

Golf Tournament

The Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Event is just around the corner.  June 18, 2012, 8:00 a.m. (sharp) the festivities and competition begins.  We are so excited about the new venue at The Country Club of Colorado.

We have been asked why the change?  Simply put, it was time.  The board of the Fountain Valley Chamber is trying to reshape the offering and value provided to our membership.  We are a professional business organization and we are striving to foster that environment in all we do.  We want to sponsor and facilitate professional events that attract business professionals of all types.  We want all to be proud of and benefit from the hard work that your chamber board puts forth in representing the Fountain Valley business community.

Our support from participants and sponsors make this an enjoyable and memorable affair.  Thanks to all for making this a great day.  As with most events, there are always those that give a little extra and we want to acknowledge them in the June issue of the Communiqué.  (This can be viewed at www.fountainvalleychamber.com)  Black Hills Energy has long been one of our greatest supporters.  They always go above and beyond to make sure we have great events.  As always, they have been kind enough to donate the grill we will be raffling away at the luncheon following the golf tournament. This is a great grill and well worth the $2 chance.  You do not have to golf to win or participate as tickets can be purchased at the Chamber Office.  Call 719-382-3190 for more details.

First State Bank of Colorado has stepped up to help in a big way for the 8th Annual Golf Tournament.  We are pleased to announce the $500 Chipping Contest offered by the First State Bank of Colorado.  This will be a separate contest at the tournament and those that make the chip from a designated area will earn a share of the $500 pot.  This is sure to be a popular and exciting addition to this year’s event.

Golf Tips:  June 18th (8:00 a.m. Shotgun start) at the beautiful Country Club of Colorado – they do enforce a dress code for participants – please contact the golf shop at   719-538-4095, with questions.  Pick up raffle tickets for the Black Hills “BBQ grill” at the upcoming Business after Hours on Thursday, June 14th hosted by Fountain Valley Foundation and Deborah Elliot-Shultz of Mia Bella Properties, the Chamber office or at the Golf Tournament.  Bring your money for the live auction that will follow the golf tournament.  1 six-month trial membership will be part of the auction and is valued over $3000.  Thanks to all for the support from teams and sponsors, as we are looking forward to a great event.

Chamber Members…EDC needs your help.

The City of Fountain Economic Development Commission (EDC) has asked Chamber Members to help with an up-coming project.

The EDC is putting together promotional materials to use when attracting perspective businesses to the Fountain Valley area.  The EDC needs quality photos of local business, both inside and outside photos.  They will be used in brochures and slideshows or videos. Please forward your clear, quality business jpeg photos to Lisa Cochrun at lisa@fountaincolorado.org.  Be sure to attach a caption so we know who is where and what. Photos need to be clean and clear, with no trademarks visible unless allowed through a release.  Photo release forms will be provided by the EDC to any business’s photo used in the presentation.  Please send all photo submissions directly to Lisa Cochrun.

Upcoming Events

With our new website up and running we have the ability to help you and your business advertise upcoming events on our Chamber calendar.  We reserve this privilege to our members only.  If you or your business have events that you would like to have added to our calendar please submit the request to our office and upon approval we will add them to our calendar.  We appreciate the opportunity to get to help promote your business.
